Cherokee Forest Homes had its start in 1991 when I moved from Ohio to Northeast Tennessee. A college student at the time and working in construction, I was planning on just building a summer lake home for my parents and then returning to pursue a degree in marketing. I soon realized the beauty of the area and it was not just the awesome mountains or the pristine waters of Watauga Lake; I realized there was an opportunity to start my own company. After being approached by several neighbors to build them a home, I decided to stay for one more summer and see how it would go. In 1996, I received my Tennessee state contractor's license and formed Cherokee Forest Homes LLC.

I am proud to say I have been building custom homes around Watauga Lake for over 19 years now!

I started selling real estate in 2006 with the idea in mind that sooner or later the homes I am building are going to be on the market. Who better to sell your home than the contractor who built it? Well that day came sooner than I thought. I received my broker's license in 2010 and today, Cherokee Forest Homes LLC is a Real Estate Brokerage, Custom Home Builder and even your destination for Vacation Rentals.
